The Bournemouth Writing Festival 2024
Had such a great time on the beach at the Bournemouth Writing Festival with my Washing Line with Words. Despite a strong wind we were able to peg poems, messages and thoughts written by passers by and Festival goers. A theme emerged as the day wore on – one of triumph over pain and troubled times along with a love for the sea. People stopped by to chat and share something of their lives, and some were inspired to add to the washing line.

The Magic of Books
Spreading the vword at Elm Academy, Bournemouth. We had a lot of fun and they were great artists – inspired by characters in the book. Some pupils, including Olivia, have offered to be beta readers of the first draft of my next book. Thank you Elm Academy and school Librarian, Ms Sally Curtis.

“The Kingdom of Broken Magic will make a wonderful edition to any upper primary school library/classroom and be a great class read when learning about the Victorians. It is a fabulous middle grade story that is gripping, nail biting whilst covering themes of friendship, history and equality and diversity.....”

"The Kingdom of Broken Magic" is a spectacularly surreal and brilliantly bizarre adventure that completely captured me in its unique magic. I was swept into highly imaginative, wonderfully strange world, where nothing is ever as it seems - I absolutely loved it!"

"Once I started reading this book, I didn’t want to put it down and ended up reading the book in a whole evening. I really enjoyed it because it made me feel as I was the character Maggie and I really felt her emotions. It was a rollercoaster of excitement from start to finish….”
